| A take off from Barack Obama’s Yes We Can Campaign, Avon had spearheaded its own “Yes We Can” initiatives globally to capitalize on the economic crisis and create a multitude of earning opportunities worldwide. More popularly known among Avon associates as the Chairman’s Challenge, it enforces two crucial goals: (1) To create more jobs thru increased recruitment and thereby strengthening Avon’s customer base in the market, and (2) Achieve above-plan growth in units. |

| As part of Avon Products Manufacturing Inc.’s contribution in realizing this initiative, the SWAT Team organized the aptly called “Yes We Can! Yes We will! Challenge” for the months of February and March 2009. Divided in 10 House Teams, team members were encouraged to purchase identified “Yes We Can” CFT products in the February and March Book 1 & 2 Campaigns. The CFT items were sub-divided in brackets based on their amount. Prices ranged from Php100-below (lowest bracket) to Php500 and above (highest bracket). Each order count has a corresponding point, with a ceiling of 25 possible items that can be ordered, over-all points to be won is equivalent to 418 House Championship points. To further carry out the Yes We Can battle cry, items were purchased in full price and were paid in cash by the APMI Associates. The Challenge was became an instant hit and generated P83,000.00 total sales! |

As APMI embraces the Chairman’s challenge head on, it is management’s hope that this simple and straight forward activity will serve as inspiration to all Avon associates worldwide to fully take on this “call-to-action”. We can truly pass another hurdle in Avon’s history by working together and being centered on one goal, as we say YES WE CAN! YES WE WILL! |
