Through the years since the inception of Kiss Goodbye to Brest Cancer, Avon has been identified as a company with a non negotiable commitment to women. In the Philippines, our yearly activities and fund raising efforts have served millions of women through our Breast Care Center in PGH. In the year 2008, our initiatives enabled us to raise Php820,000 from donations, Php311,250 from baller band sale proceeds, and Php.351,000 from our Skin So Soft Sales. More significantly, the 39,000 walkers who joined last year’s simultaneous events showcased our passionate commitment to the cause.

Recently, our company took the advocacy one step further by donating various equipment to provincial hospitals. An Electric Cautery machine was given to Baguio General Hospital, with Dagupan branch executives in attendance. Going further South, Avon Iloilo executives donated two units of LA Z Boy Recliner chairs and a drying oven to Iloilo General Hospital.

This year, we are aiming for a more pronounced pursuance of the advocacy. We will commit to raise more funds and have 50,000 walkers walk the streets of identified cities. This will help solidify our company’s efforts for a nation with better awareness and higher chances of cure. And this will all be possible with the commitment of each associate.
