The company known for its unmatched earning opportunity and best beauty products becomes The company for Mother Earth as it launched Hello Green Tomorrow during the first week of June.
Pioneered by Avon CEO and Chairman Andrea Jung, Hello Green Tomorrow is a global initiative that aims to take environmental consciousness seriously by expanding Avon's existing green practices and explore new ways to create a greener, more sustainable tomorrow for the company.
Last year, Ms. Jung appointed the Chairman's Task Force, a diverse, cross-functional group of handpicked Avon associates worldwide, which developed strategic recommendations to help make various areas of the business more environmentally supportive. The first phase of the Chairman's Task Force green recommendations is all about GOING GREEN IN THE WORKPLACE.
Going Green in the Workplace is a grassroots activation campaign that aims to engage every associate to participate, support and contribute ideas on how to adopt a GREEN lifestyle.
Highlighting on the said objective, daily themes became the backdrop for the fruition of the project. From saving paper, waste segregation and workstation shutdown, all associates felt compelled to participate in the daily activities. With tips sent daily via e mail, awareness on small steps to reach a GREENER Avon has been established and given focus.
Capping the week-long launch was the Get Green and Win contest, where associates were asked to design an old green shirt using recyclable materials readily available in their households and the office. Winners from the said contest received gift certificates for an overnight stay for two (2) at a premier hotel in Manila. |
