As we draw closer to the end of the fourth quarter, we pay homage to significant milestones we have achieved together.

The walk that started five years ago broke another record as 40,000 people walked the streets to step up for the cause. While the initial plan to hold a simultaneous walk event last October 4 had to be postponed due to the typhoon threat, it did not derail us from our commitment to women. What it brought us was an opportunity to gather more people and highlight its significance to commence. Our message for breast cancer became even stronger as it need not be boxed for the month of October, because this is a disease that affects so many lives daily.                                 read more »

Change is a positive event - Julius from Benchmark

APMI underwent a series of significant events this 2009 that have brought periods of adjustment among its employees. While the objective was for a stronger and cohesive team, associates can’t help but wonder the next steps of the company.

The third quarter business update, aptly themed, Avon FAME, did light up the sky on October 20th at Rockwell Cinema 4, as associates from Head Office and Metro branches flocked to the venue. It was a welcome change for all, coming from a series of updates held at the office.   read more »

This 2009, Avon made a stronger commitment to the Breast Cancer Cause: 50,000 participants in seven locations (Manila, Legaspi, Vigan, Malolos, Cebu, Cagayan de Oro, and Iloilo) achieved through a simultaneous walk event. With fewer locations and a bigger target, we knew we were up for a big challenge. But we still went ahead with it, because our driving force has always been the countless women we continuously support.

After being postponed in several locations around the Philippines due to severe weather conditions brought about by Typhoons Ondoy and Pepeng, the Avon Walk Around the World for Breast Cancer finally pushed through in Manila (SM Mall of Asia Open Grounds), Legaspi (Avon Legaspi Branch)....                                                                   read more »

Former HR Generalist Salen Trillanes, together with Jen Garcia of Regional HR, facilitated the 2-day workshop, An Interaction Management, held last August 27-28, 2009 at the Manila Peninsula Hotel. Its objective was focused on forming new leaders to help them realize their role as inspiration for others to act, successfully handle challenging situations, and expand their teams’ capabilities, in order to give the organization a competitive edge.   read more »
